Eastern Churches Journal

Ss. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Seminary, in order to further focus its theological vision according to its Statement of Institutional Purpose (and Mission Statement), is overjoyed to announce its first of many volumes to come, whereby it plans to make ever greater contributions to the life of the Church in the ensuing decade. Reader Jack Figel successfully published the journal for decades. At his suggestion and with his assistance B.C.S. began the necessary steps to assume the editorial and publishing responsibilities for the Eastern Churches Journal in mid-2021. In accord with the strategic plan for B.C.S., the first volume of its now regular publication of its journal was printed on October 5th, 2023. We thank those who have requested and patiently awaited the publication since the takeover of the journal from Eastern Christian Publications. With the hiring of additional staff at B.C.S. and with the cooperation of core faculty of B.C.S. with the academic dean, this volume will be available for purchase here in the near future.

The electronic versions of the journal are now available for download using the links below. For libraries and individuals who desire a printed copy to be shipped to them, individual purchases of the annual volume will soon be possible from this page. We also plan to have hard copies of past editions available as long as quantities last.

Thank you for your encouragement, support, and your patience that have led to the successful release of B.C.S.’s first of many contributions to scholarship in the realm of studies and thought concerning the tradition of the Christian East.
